Counting by weight can be useful when a batch contains many repeatable components, but it depends on stable individual part weight, good sampling and a sensible verification process.
A weigh filler can only infer a count from weight when the item weight is predictable enough for the required batch size. The test should therefore start with the parts, not with the machine.
